Primary Purpose To provide support and encouragement to Seasonal Workers employed through the PALM scheme, driving engagement and success in work, training and development, and community engagement in Australia and at home during their stay with McAg. Key Relationships Internal General Manager Business Manager Recruitment Manager Payroll Manager Rostering/ Transport Manager External Community groups including sporting teams, churches, service providers and community associations who partner in providing community engagement opportunities. PALM scheme staff inc. relevant SWP and PLS representatives. Host Employer work team supervisors, representatives and other relevant staff. Responsibilities Assist and coordinate with the recruitment manager in pre-arrival planning processes including scheduling of inductions, education and training activities. Facilitate the induction process on arrival in partnership with the management team and designated work Team Leader/ translator. Ensure all site inductions are carried out prior to commencement and attend Host Employer sites to assist with start up at beginning of engagement. Liase with the rostering/ transport manager and the recruitment manager to plan work teams. Deliver on welfare and wellbeing strategies across 2 streams including Team Leaders and the General Worker cohorts with fortnightly engagements across all sites. Weekends and after hours engagements are necessary from time to time to achieve appropriate contact time with workers. Assist in facilitating and delivering on McAg’s drug & alcohol policy & testing regime. Drive engagement and attendance of workers in McAg training and development programs. A key performance metric of the role will be the percentage of the cohort successfully completing our training & leadership programs. Facilitating community connections including worker engagement with Church and local sporting groups as well as other community programs or activities. Assist in building and maintaining a complete worker profile for each individual worker, monitoring, recording and reporting on metrics for key performance areas including productivity and performance, attendance, cleanliness, character, and communication skills. Assist management with delivery of the performance management process including performance management/ disciplinary meetings, warning letters, and documented performance improvement plans for PALM workers. In partnership with management, assist PALM workers with any and all enquiries whenever possible while in Australia, while remaining mindful to develop “personal agency” among our PALM workers. Assist in fulfilling the business’s obligations to the workers under our deed of agreement and ensure our PALM workers are successful both in their work life and their personal life to the best of your ability. Report any incidents to management and ensure reporting requirements are met for both the PALM program and internal McAg processes. Work closely with the management team, reporting regularly on the program. Provide 24 phone contact for Seasonal Workers via our on-call phone system. Report weekly to management on key performance criteria. Workplace Health and Safety Responsibilities Advise Management of any issues existing or potential that could expose our workers to a Health and Safety Risk. Collect and store all appropriate training, certification, and qualification records required for workers engaged in tasks requiring such documentation. Promote a culture of safety at the fortnightly meetings, maintaining and storing all records associated with our best practice re-training process. Complete and submit incident report forms for all incidents and/ or near misses related to our workers both inside and outside of work. Liase with the Management team in investigating incidents/ near misses and implementing preventative or corrective actions as required. Follow all company policies and procedures, and assist in identifying any areas of improvement in said policies and procedures. The Successful applicant will have strong interpersonal/ relational skills, excellent time management skills, a high level of attention to detail, a high level of self motivation and accountability, and ability to succeed under pressure. Experience and/ or qualifications in Psychology, Social Science, or similar is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
