In a nutshell, "We’re not a bad bunch to work with."Your new Role: The State Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all construction operations of Energybuild within their designated state to ensure success and commercial performance. The role also involves acting as a secondary licensee for the business in the state, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and industry standards.Key Functional Responsibilities: Safety and Compliance Leadership & People Development Construction Operations & Quality Control Procurement & Logistics Stakeholder Management Day-to-day: Enforce the Energybuild Safety Management system by implementing safety procedures that minimise risk and ensure a safe working environment. Conduct quarterly safety audits for contractors, ensuring non-compliance is addressed and issues escalated where necessary. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of supervisors, subcontractors, and other staff, ensuring continuous growth and skill enhancement. Day-to-day management of installation teams, builder’s expectations, and general communication state-wide. Provide clear direction and foster a positive team culture, promoting collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence. Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, providing a high level of service and swiftly resolving site and installation issues. Inspect subcontractor and supervisor workmanship to ensure compliance with Energybuild standards, conducting post-installation reviews and identifying root causes of any issues. Complete general administrative tasks, such as processing jobs in simPRO or other systems. Travel throughout the state to manage key accounts, win new clients, and provide on-site coaching and supervision to subcontractors and staff as needed. Collaborate with other Energybuild State Construction Managers to discuss learnings and implement development plans. About You: Trade background and/or relevant competency in Solar PV generation. Excellent Knowledge of the residential construction market in Queensland. Strong focus on customer service, with a proactive approach to solving construction operational challenges. Strong leadership qualities and experience managing multiple contractors and supervisor level staff. Assertive communicator, with the ability to manage business relationships confidently. Detail-oriented and methodical, ensuring all points of the construction process are addressed. Ability to provide clear direction and guidance, even when detailed plans are not provided. Strong awareness of safety practices and proactive in mitigating safety risks. Commercially minded individual with a natural sales ability. Why choose Energybuild: Full-time, permanent position.
