Apprenticeship Support Australia (ASA) has recently been awarded the Australian Government’s contract to deliver apprenticeship support services in Tasmania and is looking for a passionate and driven leader to establish and grow presence in the state. You’ll be leading a team of eight highly motivated individuals, all of whom are new to their roles (4-6 months in) and eager to make a difference. As State Operations Manager, your mission will be to develop, inspire, and empower your team while expanding market share, increasing brand awareness, and strengthening industry partnerships. For 26 years, ASA has been at the forefront of enhancing retention, completion rates, and participation across the nation, committed to delivering outstanding support to apprentices, trainees, and employers, providing vital support that connects skills, career aspirations, and industry needs. What You’ll Be Doing Leading and developing a new team, fostering a culture of collaboration, motivation, and success. Driving business growth by expanding ASA’s market share, increasing brand awareness, and strengthening industry connections. Building relationships with key stakeholders, including TasTAFE, industry leaders, and government representatives. Overseeing service delivery , ensuring apprentices, trainees, and employers receive high-quality support. Ensuring compliance with government contracts, regulations, and reporting requirements. Who We’re Looking For We need a leader who inspires, connects, and delivers results. You will have at least five years of leadership experience, be a natural connector, and build strong and lasting relationships across industries. A positive and energetic approach is essential, along with a proven track record in driving growth, increasing retention, and expanding market share. Success in coaching, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams is essential. Familiarity with TasTAFE, government contracts, compliance reporting, and an understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship system in Tasmania will be highly regarded.
