Department of Police, Fire and Emergency ManagementTFS - Operations Applications must be submitted by Sunday 23 March, 2025 11:55 PM AEST Award/Classification: $112,497.00 to $114,737.00 per annum Employment type: Permanent, full-time Region: South, North Location: Hobart and Launceston Duties Manage assigned personnel and physical resources in line with organisational policy and strategy to ensure effective emergency response and community preparedness, including: Supervision of operations at emergency incidents. Delivery of operational and fire safety related training. Implementation of community fire safety and education programs. Minimum Requirements Attain the rank of Leading Firefighter in accordance with the Tasmanian Fire Fighting Industry Employees Award 2022 qualifications or equivalent. Pre-Employment Checks The Head of the State Service has determined that a person nominated for appointment to this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer. Any relevant serious criminal offence or repeated serious offences over any period, which are not mitigated by additional information, may provide grounds for declining an application for appointment. Arson and fire setting; Sexual offences; Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud); Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception); Violent crimes and crimes against the person; Malicious damage and destruction to property; Trafficking of narcotic substances; Other Requirements Evidence of ongoing professional development and skills maintenance. Meet the medical requirements of the TFS. Have a high standard of health and fitness. Hold a current driver’s licence with ‘MR’ endorsement.
