Key Responsibilities: Lead the statutory planning team, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth. Promote a customer-focused approach, ensuring positive engagement with stakeholders. Prepare reports and manage complex planning permit applications. Represent the organisation at VCAT and other relevant forums. About You: An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced statutory planner to oversee a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional planning services. In this role, you will be responsible for managing development approvals, facilitating pre-application meetings, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the team. Hold a degree in Town Planning or a related field, with experience in land use planning. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. Possess in-depth knowledge of planning legislation and regulatory processes. Exhibit confidence in making independent decisions and providing expert guidance. Have a proactive approach to leadership and mentoring. Additional Information: A police check will be required for the successful candidate. Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Bairnsdale. Relocation assistance may be offered to the right candidate.
