Sydney Dental Hospital (SDH) has been serving the local community since 1904. The Hospital is a center of excellence and throughout its history has been a key driver in shaping oral health and dental care in Australia. The Manager of Sterilising Services at Sydney Dental Hospital and Oral Health Services (SDH&OHS) is responsible for coordinating the reprocessing service provided to other facilities within the Sydney Local Health District (SLHD). The primary focus is to meet the key performance indicators and ensure compliance with reprocessing of reusable medical devices and other devices in health and non-health-related facilities (AS 5369:2023) and NSW Health policies to achieve and maintain best practice across the oral health facilities within SLHD. Provide advice and subject matter expertise to the SLHD Oral Health Clinical Stream Director and Oral Health Clinical Council of new practices or issues identified in the relevant standards related to this role. Ideal Candidate: Relevant tertiary qualifications or working towards such and/or work experience in sterilisation services. Demonstrated sound knowledge of reprocessing of reusable medical devices and other devices in health and non-related facilities (AS 5369:2023) with the ability to interpret relevant International and National standards, policies, practices, and techniques. Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable) with a willingness to travel across facilities within SDH&OHS in accordance with the demands of the position. Benefits and Perks!
