This role is a blend of tactical purchasing and strategic procurement for large-scale projects. As the Strategic Buyer, you will manage day-to-day purchasing activities while leading procurement initiatives for upcoming projects, including end-to-end project management. Your ability to balance immediate operational needs with forward-looking strategic planning will be key to your success.Key Responsibilities: Execute tactical, day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring timely delivery of materials and supplies. Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for major projects. Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and align with project objectives. Manage procurement timelines and budgets for upcoming projects. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project requirements and timelines are met. Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Requirements & Experience Proven experience in procurement or strategic buying, ideally within the industrial manufacturing sector. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent negotiation and supplier management abilities. Knowledge of procurement processes, contracts, and supply chain management. Analytically driven with strong problem-solving skills. Proficiency in ERP systems, and the ability to operate effectively in more manual environments. Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
