Manager Strategic Communications – Internal Employment Type: Temporary Employment period: (up to 12 months) Classification / Grade / Band: Clerk Grade 9/10 Remuneration: $125,693 – $138,510; plus Superannuation and Leave Loading Location: Sydney CBD, Flexible and hybrid working options available Applications Close: Tuesday, 4 February 2025 at 9:59am Role impact and contribution The Manager Strategic Communications – Internal will lead, develop and implement internal communications strategies aligned to the NSW Treasury Strategic Plan. The role is responsible for delivering a diverse range of internal communications and strategic stakeholder engagement events and activities – including the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) strategy, and the People Matter Employee Survey (PMES) program of work. The role will work across multiple channels to maintain and increase staff engagement. You will deliver engaging, thoughtful content to support the delivery of NSW Treasury’s priorities. You will have the opportunity to grow the communications function, influence stakeholders and engage in the wider conversation on diversity, inclusion and belonging, and other themes. As a member of a small team, this is a hands-on role working to achieve the objectives of the organization. You will be joining our Financial Management & Services Group and will be working within the Communications Division. Achieve success as Manager Strategic Communications – Internal In this integral role there are a few things we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW. The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or other related area, or equivalent industry experience. Experience in internal or external communications. Ability to work autonomously and within a team. Ability to quickly write copy that communicates complex issues in a clear, engaging and succinct way. Strong stakeholder relationship building and project management skills. Proven record of working across multiple projects, handling multiple relationships, and supporting work across a team. Proven ability to develop effective strategic communications strategies. Excellent writing skills across a range of channels including intranet articles, speech notes, PowerPoint presentations, social media posts, briefing notes, stories and opinion pieces. Strong verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and planning, organisation and time management skills.
