Strategic Engagement Manager - Projects & Programmes Canberra Permanent Role – Full Time Salary: $110 - $130,000 + Super (Dependent on experience) Hybrid (In-office & WFH) Parking included Cox Purtell is currently working with a national membership association operating throughout Australia, who advocate for businesses across a broad spectrum of industries across issues such as workplace relations, tax, competition law and retail tenancy. This association is now the country’s peak body exclusively representing the interests of SMEs. They’re now looking to hire a committed and motivated Strategic Engagement Manager to play a pivotal strategic role within the organisation, taking responsibility for developing and implementing strategies to foster strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, focusing on enhancing the associations’ program/project work – driving engagement with members. This role requires a highly skilled professional who can work independently and engage openly and honestly in a small team setting. The Engagement Manager will be instrumental in coordinating engagement activities for significant programs covering matters such as Cyber Security and DE&I. The successful candidate will be a pro-active people person and have experience building relationships with senior stakeholders – ideally in government & commerce, and driving engagement with key programmes. Main areas of responsibility include: Relationship Building: Building and maintaining strong relationships with program partners, corporate sponsors, government stakeholders, and Association Members Program Promotion: Develop and execute strategies to increase participation in Association-lead programs. Experience marketing & showcasing program impacts Stakeholder Management: Build lasting relationships that enhance program engagement and the Associations influence in the sector Event Management: Manage and coordinate engagement activities for program-related events (travel is required) Partnership Development: Identify and secure new partnerships that align with the associations’ mission and strategic objectives. Manage existing partnerships to ensure mutual benefit and long-term sustainability. Your Profile: The successful candidate will be highly experienced in stakeholder management & member engagement – someone who is passionate about relationship-building to drive growth, ideally within an Association, Not-for-Profit or Government organisation. At least 5 years’ experience in similar roles is desired. Must be comfortable with inter-state travel - minimum a day or two of travel per month. Extensive experience in Engagement, Consultation, Customer Service, Public Relations, or a related field. Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and manage a wide range of stakeholders. Highly experienced in developing and implementing engagement strategies, managing corporate partnerships and sponsorships, and program delivery or program management. Membership management within a peak body or industry association would be highly regarded. Someone with excellent communication skills – comfortable engaging members via phone & face-to-face meetings. #J-18808-Ljbffr
