Our Consumer Energy Solutions (CES) team is at the forefront of this mission, driving home electrification in collaboration with industry, government, and communities to support the state’s clean energy transition. Additionally, the SEC is developing a One-Stop Shop to provide households with the information, services, and solutions they need to electrify their homes.As a Strategic Partnerships Manager , you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing inclusive and impactful partnerships within the consumer energy sector. This role will be responsible for designing and executing a strategic partnerships framework, identifying and fostering collaborative relationships, and driving initiatives that accelerate home electrification and energy affordability for all Victorians.What you will do: Core accountabilities include: Develop and execute strategic partnerships that align with SEC’s consumer product roadmaps and business objectives, ensuring partnerships deliver maximum value for Victorian households and communities. Identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships across industry, government, and community sectors to accelerate home electrification and support Victoria’s clean energy transition. Represent SEC at industry events, forums, and conferences, fostering collaboration, promoting SEC’s vision, and staying informed on industry trends and policy developments. Implement process improvements and oversee partnership tracking, enhancing efficiency, integration, and reporting through effective CRM management and stakeholder engagement. Create presentations and briefing materials for executive leadership and ministerial stakeholders, providing insights, recommendations, and updates on key partnerships and initiatives. Who you are Must Have: Your capabilities and areas of expertise that matter most for this role are: Track record of building relationships and partnerships that deliver long-term value particularly in the energy and/or local government sectors. Expertise negotiating complex, high-impact partnerships agreements with diverse stakeholder groups, such as local governments, peak bodies, commercial and consumer groups, delivering long-term value for both internal and external stakeholders. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally to maximise outcomes. Proven experience in developing and executing strategic partnership frameworks and strategies, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and purpose. Ability to navigate government processes at all levels, leveraging policy insights to drive successful partnerships and advocacy. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, self-motivated approach, with a track record of delivering results in dynamic environments. Proven ability to design and facilitate workshops, as well as present to senior stakeholders and industry leaders. Highly Desirable Experience in a scale-up environment, with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving landscape. Background in community or council energy programs, with an understanding of local energy initiatives, energy efficiency programs, and engagement strategies. In-depth knowledge of the energy sector, stakeholder, and policy landscape. Understanding of the workings of Government. Strong relationships across the energy sector. Established networks within local government and key community groups, enabling effective collaboration and impact-driven partnerships.
