This role is responsible for driving Technology’s strategy and planning activities, designing sustainable technology solutions in line with enterprise-wide strategic plans, being a thought leader in emerging technology topics and enabling Technology to perform effectively. Using business insight, analytical skills and creativity, this role will lead to technology strategy, provide well-constructed, practical paths to inform architecture domain roadmaps, shape board papers and presentations; and support enterprise-wide initiatives. Using consulting and advisory techniques, this role influences decision-making at every level of the organisation. This role works closely with technology teams, and also liaises with business leadership across multiple other functions including strategy, data, analytics, innovation and risk to enable Westpac to achieve its vision. Key accountabilities: Framing long term strategy and growth goals to drive transformation agendas across technology and business Guiding the decision making processes of the executive leadership and board by presenting/discussing key technology topics Leading the development of high quality architecture roadmaps enabling optimal investment decisions across multiple business portfolios Leading in planning of major change initiatives to align technology opportunities with business strategies Building and maintaining effective relationships to influence technology teams as well as Group Strategy, M&A and innovation functions Developing and monitoring transformation priorities for Technology to be a world class, high performing business technology organisation Partnering and collaborating with external research organisations and consultancy firms Coaching team members in both content development and ways of engagement What do I need? Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related study/experience 5 years plus experience at a senior level within management consulting or professional services preferably within a strategy and transformation capacity Proven results in one or more areas: driving strategy / transformation programs within management consulting Track record of building relationships and influence with senior and C-level executives Managed small to medium sized teams and mentored with high integrity Supported definition and delivery of cross-organisational strategic initiatives Proficient knowledge and seen as a thought leader in emerging technology and consumer behaviour topics Experience working with remote teams Experience working in a start-up or a rapid paced organisation MBA or Business related Masters qualifications What’s it like to work there?
