You will be part of a dynamic team of engineers and designers - working across a diverse range of projects in the ACT, and farther afield. As a multi-disciplinary firm across civil, structural, and hydraulic engineering, communication and collaboration is a core value across our staff. We have two structural positions available: Junior Engineer - Graduate - Grad +3 years experience. You have excellent academic results from your undergraduate degree and are keen to expand these skills under the mentorship of our talented senior staff. A fundamental and first principles understanding of structures in reinforced concrete, steel, post-tensioned concrete, timber, and masonry is required, with knowledge of structural programs such as Rapt, SpaceGass, RAM Concept, RAM Structural Systems, and Strand7 preferable but not necessary. Programming in Excel would also be desirable. Senior Engineer - Grad +5 - Grad +10 experience sought - someone who grabs a project with both hands and runs with it with minimal supervision. You have good experience in commercial structures and multi-unit residential structures - understanding the principles around economical structural design to meet the objectives of clients. Sound knowledge of concrete design (especially post-tensioned), steel structures, and mass timber design would be advantageous - plus a good understanding of masonry and timber, or other areas of interest. You know how to drive the above software at an expert level, and will most likely be guiding the Grad Engineer when they have questions. Both roles will be part of a close-knit team with a culture that other companies can only dream of. More than 50% of our staff have a tenure of between 7 and 25 years.
