Job Description

Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people. Roster: 4D3R, 4D3R, 8D6R - FIFO ex Perth Reporting to the Mechanical Superintendent, the Structural Integrity Coordinator plays a key role in supporting and coordinating the Christmas Creek Structural Integrity Program. This role is responsible for ensuring structural remediation work is executed safely and efficiently while aligning with Fortescue’s values and operational standards. The position involves working closely with maintenance, shutdown, and project teams to manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Provide expert execution advice to the remediation team while ensuring adherence to work management principles. Oversee budget management, ensuring financial efficiency within project scope. Foster and maintain a strong team safety culture, ensuring alignment with Fortescue’s safety standards and values. Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing, diverse team. Ensure optimal management of plant equipment and assets to maintain operational integrity. Engage and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, fostering strong working relationships. Qualifications and Experience Trade Qualification and Statutory Supervisor (Section 26) certification (essential). Strong understanding of Australian Regulations, Standards, and Codes (e.g., WHSR 2022, AS1170, AS4100, AS1657, AS3600). Supervisory experience in a fixed plant or heavy industry environment. Structural remediation experience (highly desirable). Proficiency in SAP, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications (preferred), with strong ability to interpret technical drawings. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills with a proactive approach to compliance and team development.
