The school maintains a focus on the environment with the Bayview Middle Years (7-9) Campus being located on the Port Phillip Bay waterfront. Today, the school caters for more than 1480 students from years 7 to 12 on two campuses that are a ten-minute walk apart. Responsibilities The Student Wellbeing Coordinator will work as a member of the Student Engagement and Wellbeing Team (SEWT) to plan, implement and review the engagement and wellbeing areas of the Annual Implementation Plan. Work alongside Homegroup Teachers and Year Level Coordinators to gauge the needs of all students at the campus. Provide feedback and resources for the Homegroup program to proactively address student needs. Manage and report incidents, supporting others to do so. Initiate and secure alternate education settings for students as needed. Ensure Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are developed and implemented for students with a mental health diagnosis. Provide counselling and guidance to students and refer cases requiring professional counselling to appropriate agencies. Liaise with parents and keep them informed of their child's wellbeing issues.
