Edith Cowan College (ECC) is an Australian tertiary education and English language provider and is accredited by the government under the Higher Education Act 2004 to provide a range of higher education courses. ECC specializes in providing alternative pathways to ECU for students who may not qualify for direct entry into a degree program and are looking for a supportive learning environment. ECC is located on Edith Cowan University campuses and is a successful joint venture between ECU and Navitas. The Student and Academic Services Manager is a leadership position responsible for the efficient and high-quality delivery of student and academic administrative processes, student experience programs, and management of a service-oriented Student and Academic Services team. This position reports to the Academic Director and is a member of the College Senior Executive Team. Key Responsibilities Provide effective leadership, management, and supervision to teams supporting activities within the student life cycle, including: orientation, enrolment, timetabling, exams, results, student progression, scholarships, graduation. Partner with academic and professional staff across the College and the University to facilitate collaboration and achieve strategic objectives. Leverage expert knowledge to guide staff on relevant legislation, policy, and reporting requirements. Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in student and academic services. Oversee student experience programs. Qualifications The person we seek will have the following: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience and training. Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to meet deadlines and work independently. Well-developed leadership and people management skills. Well-developed time management and organisational skills. High levels of initiative and problem-solving skills. Relevant and recent experience in service provision management, preferably in an education setting. Well-developed analytical and data reporting skills. Strong commitment to customer service. In addition to the above, experience in student administration/student services in the tertiary education sector with international students would be highly desirable.
