About the Role We are seeking a self-motivated Subdivisions Technical Officer with an understanding of the electricity industry who will be responsible for providing a wide range of support services for assets under management by Zinfra Power Services South. These services are focused on various assets such as subdivision applications and electricity distribution networks specifically managed for the United Energy network. This position is based at our Keysborough depot; however, once fully trained, there is the flexibility to move to a hybrid model. Key Responsibilities Process all subdivision enquiries for Zinfra in the United Energy network region, including the provision of effective supply advice and negotiation of installations that has the least risk for the asset owner whilst applying the relevant legislation and supply policies. Conduct site inspections for current action referrals and any compliance checks for removals of overhead services (electricity). Sourcing assistance for field checks from Zinfra planners and Zinfra on-site location requests. Liaising with new connections, distribution businesses, and councils. Field inspections to determine site conditions, location of supply points, etc. Identification and reporting of missing assets (such as pole to pits) that are not recorded in the GIS. Advising and dealing with surveyors and developers of the subdivision applications. Updating of subdivision database. About You You will be a self-managing and accountable individual who possesses well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to make decisions and to work both as a team and autonomously. Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands will also see you succeed in your new role, along with the following: Prior experience in the electricity industry, ideally in electrical distribution and the capture of asset information. A background in surveying is desirable. Prior experience in the use of GIS. Prior experience with SAP is desirable.
