Come and be a part of this success. About the Role An exciting opportunity exists to join the Engineering Copper SA team. We are seeking the talents of an experienced and skilled leader for the Technical Engineering team at Copper SA. This leader is someone who can integrate their expertise within the operation and help deliver safe and sustainable copper from this uniquely complex BHP asset. Reporting to the Manager Engineering Copper SA, the Superintendent Technical Engineering will lead and champion a team which provides multi-discipline technical expertise including engineering design & assessment, engineering standards and asset integrity management. By tapping into your passion for solving technical problems you will: Motivate, develop and lead a respected and high functioning technical team to deliver effective engineering solutions and specialist subject matter expertise to stakeholders. Create a culture where people feel valued and inspired to deliver their best work, and safety is a priority. Drive improvement in best practice technologies to support Engineering and Asset Integrity management. Champion collaboration with BHP centres of excellence to achieve an aligned global approach. Development and management of OPEX/CAPEX budgets to deliver best value. Accountable for delivering specialist programme of works, such as Fatality Elimination (FEL) electrical programmes and Fire Safety management. Central reporting of key AIM metrics throughout Copper SA. Build mutually beneficial relationships with operational teams to achieve organisational KPIs and support delivery of front-line improvements. The role is Adelaide based, and you will be working on a Monday - Friday roster. The role requires site travel. About You Strong understanding of technical role requirements supported by relevant tertiary engineering qualifications. Proven technical and personnel safety focus. Demonstrated ability to work well with stakeholders, including operational teams. Experience developing long-term visions and operational plans and the ability to communicate these across all levels of the organisation. Comfortable setting cost and schedule plans. Passion for investing teams and their wellbeing at work. Ability to implement change through influence and is agile in meeting customer’s needs. Identifies improvements and can work autonomously in setting others up for success.
