About The Role We are seeking an experienced Supervisor, Drill and Blast to control blasting operations on-site and be responsible for the coordination of drilling activities at Mt Arthur South Operations. In terms of Drill and Blast, Mt Arthur South is mainly a through seam operation utilising electronic initiating products. Mt Arthur South is also leading the way in autonomous drill within the Hunter Valley. Thiess delivers a full-service in mining operations including mine planning, overburden and coal removal and D&B. Working a lifestyle day-shift roster and reporting to the D&B Superintendent, your duties will include: Accountable for leading safe, efficient, and effective blasting Working towards cost optimisation through the effective utilization and care of plant and personnel Responsible for the effective leadership, training, and development of the Blast Crew Ensure that drilling and blasting production targets and efficiencies are maximised and carried out in a cost-effective manner About You By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a workforce that is focused on developing a strong performance culture and a culture that values everyone’s contribution equally.
