About the Opportunity The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is looking for a full-time Supervisor Turf Management based in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, WA . This role is responsible for supervising the maintenance of 52 hectares of active and passive turf areas, ensuring high standards of presentation and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Coordinator Parks & Open Spaces, you will manage a skilled team and oversee daily turf operations in line with the City’s objectives. More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing and aligning turf operations to meet the City’s objectives Supervising, training, and scheduling the Turf Operations team to optimise performance Overseeing water resource use in collaboration with irrigation teams to ensure sustainable turf maintenance Monitoring expenditure against the approved budget and providing monthly variance reports Conducting audits of facilities, identifying hazards, and maintaining safe and visually appealing spaces Assisting with the preparation of the annual budget and the City’s Annual Works Program About You To qualify, you will need a Certificate IV in Sports Turf Management and/or demonstrated knowledge and a Supervisory Certificate (or similar qualification) . Demonstrated experience in turf management will also be essential. Additionally, you must have: Current Construction Safety Awareness Card (Blue/White Card) Valid WA “C” and “HR” class driver’s licences Current satisfactory National Police Clearance The following skills and background will be highly valued: Current First Aid Certificate Proven leadership experience managing turf maintenance within a large-scale facility or council environment Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills to collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external partners Experience in budget management and resource allocation Knowledge of sustainable and efficient water management practices As our ideal candidate, you will possess exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills , with the ability to foster positive relationships across teams and stakeholders.
