We are looking for a Supply Chain & Logistics Manager who can join the team and take ownership of the role to help support the business to grow. About the Role Reporting to the Managing Director and managing one direct report, the responsibilities of the role will include: Costs and Pricing Modelling Obtain all pricing and product specifications and trading terms and enter them into the Container Pricing Spreadsheet to establish landed unit cost using cubic cost calculations to maximize container capacity. Obtain shipping costs including freight, import duty and all land and sea freight to assist with accurate cost calculation. Forecasting and Ordering Review all stock requirements and place orders based on supplier and shipping lead times. Review weekly all major customer order forecasts in portals. Place orders as required. Work closely with suppliers to ensure the following: All orders placed are supplied in full and on time into the warehouse or freight forwarder. Work with suppliers to minimise costs and efficiencies for our warehouse team. Packaging Ensure sufficient levels of all product packaging are maintained to meet demand and avoid being out of stock. Conduct regular supplier stock takes on packaging kept in external warehouses. Ensure all product & hamper packaging requirements for the Christmas peak period are ordered in plenty of time. Hamper Component Ordering and Construction Forecast and order all products required for the construction of all hampers. Implement a build plan for all hampers based on delivery date requirements. Set & Maintain KPI’s on number of Hampers to be built per day. Work with our freight forwarder to ensure all shipments are collected and booked on the required vessels. Review shipping costs to ensure that Gourmet Brands is receiving competitive rates. Review all freight and Australia Post Invoices and highlight potential savings. Work with freight companies to negotiate competitive rates for each channel. Margin Management Review all product pricing and product margins and implement pricing increases where required. Optimise Warehouse Efficiency Allocated bays to all incoming stock to maximize pick efficiency. Layout warehouse for maximum productivity.
