Job Description
Job Description Manage distribution, warehousing, inventory and stock control, transportation, shipping and customs activities to achieve the most cost efficient. Oversee the day-to-day operations of Purchasing and Logistics to ensure sales operations are not interrupted. Negotiate and secure the best possible prices, payment terms and contracts with suppliers. Establish priorities, assign workload and review the more difficult and complex assignments within the functions. Continually review and analyze stock and operational plans for ensuring adequate stock availability of all products. Plan forecast expenditure and contingency plan to avoid out of stock items. Identify and propose continuous improvements and efficiencies in the supply chain to increase the Company's overall competitiveness. Supervise the Demand & Supply function and review prepared forecasts for fresh produce, stock allocations to outlets, and avoid wastage and expired products. Participate in daily, weekly and monthly meetings including preparation of reports/KPIs against set targets. Conduct risk analysis and execute procurement strategies that maximize Company working capital and reduce price variances. Ensure that import/export activities comply with company’s policy as well as with local and international law and Egyptian regulation. Develop, implement, and monitor logistics activities required for the timely and efficient transportation. Keep management team informed on Supply Chain Management strategy goal achievement progress. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or other related field. More than 10 years of experience in Supply Chain (International Trade). Has a wide range and relations with reputable clearance and shipping lines. Experience as supply chain in food is a MUST. Experience with Dry, Chilled and Frozen Food is a must. MBA in Supply Chain is preferred. Experience in the Egyptian Market. Experience in local & foreign purchasing. A good network in Egyptian ports is preferred.
