Join our team as a Support Boat crew member where you can actively contribute to the excitement of sailing events without needing a boat licence. You will work closely with a Support Boat Skipper. The Role Duties include: On-water support Course-marking Emergency assistance You will work well with and communicate effectively with the Support Boat Skipper and other crew members. No boat licence is required, just a keen interest in on-water activities. Basic training is provided for all new volunteers, with opportunities for advancement into higher-skilled roles for those showing interest. Lunch is provided. Need to Know Access to online and on-site courses for skill development. VGC recruits for this role. Date End date: Skills Education, Training, Mentoring and Coaching (including sports). The purpose of the Southport Junior Yacht Club Sailing Foundation is to introduce children and youth to sailing and seamanship and to promote a life-long interest in sailing, while developing life and leadership skills, building friendships, and community.
