We provide services and supports to adults, and families with accompanying children in the form of accommodation, case management, assertive outreach, financial assistance, community connection and referral services. About The Role We are seeking a values-driven Support Services Team Leader to lead the Support Services team in delivering high quality and specialist support services to individuals with or without children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Reporting to the Program Manager, this is a permanent full-time role, located at the Barwon Homelessness Service in Geelong, Victoria. You will successfully Lead an effective, high functioning team of Transitional Support Case Managers in providing service delivery to families who have experienced homelessness including the provision of information, assessment and safety planning, facilitated referral, interim responses, case management, and exit planning. Ensure service delivery targets and funding body requirements are met. Provide advice, secondary consultation and facilitated referrals across all programs within the Barwon network of services and programs. Ensure service delivery and operational management is aligned with national and state strategic plans and the National Homelessness Stream Model of Care. Oversight and operational management of Samaritan House Geelong, a 20-bed residential facility. Ensure appropriate allocation of all clients to the facility. Collaborate with Samaritan House Geelong Board to ensure smooth operation of Samaritan House and matters are addressed efficiently. You will have Genuine passion for working with those facing homelessness and making a difference in their lives. A Tertiary qualification in Social Work or a related community service field. Demonstrated experience in inclusive, strengths-based case management with individuals facing homelessness with a client-centred approach. Demonstrated experience in managing staff and providing supervision. Demonstrated knowledge of homelessness including context, causes, issues, philosophies and legislation. An understanding of homelessness models, approaches, theories and practices in regard to client support. A current National Criminal History Check. A current and valid Working with Children Check. A current and valid driver's license. Conditions Compensation is in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 6. $53.84 hourly + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties, allowances, NFP salary packaging.
