Support Worker – Family Mental Health Support Service About the Position Are you passionate about supporting young people and their families in navigating mental health challenges? As a Support Worker within our Family Mental Health Support Service (FMHSS) – Hervey Bay at IMPACT Community Services, you will play a vital role in delivering flexible, non-clinical mental health services to children and young people up to 18 years old. Your key responsibilities will include conducting intake assessments, providing support and advocacy, engaging with the community, and building strong partnerships with local organisations and schools to promote early intervention. This role is classified as Level 2 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 and includes a six-month probationary period with monthly reviews. To make a difference in this role, you will have experience in the following: Providing timely intake, assessment, and support for young people and their families. Case management, including outreach as required. Building relationships with local organisations, schools, and community networks to enhance service accessibility. Delivering educational opportunities to increase awareness of mental health issues in the community. Collecting and maintaining high-quality case notes and service data.
