The opportunity We are currently seeking Support Workers who are enthusiastic and passionate about providing caring, compassionate, respectful and high-quality support to our consumers. You will be making a meaningful impact by helping older people to live safely and confidently in their own homes. The role will involve: Providing in-home care including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning, laundry tasks, and other household chores. Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and self-medication monitoring. Escorting consumers in community outings, including grocery shopping, social activities, and appointments. Requirements for the role A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent is essential, with competency in medication assistance highly desirable. Recent experience in community care or aged care through employment or formal caregiving. Experience with technology and ability to use mobile devices for work tasks. Strong understanding of aged care quality standards and safe work practices. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature. Excellent attention to detail, be honest and reliable, and possess a positive and flexible attitude. Warm, open approach that builds trust with clients, helping them feel safe and supported. Other requirements A current, full driver’s licence for the State of Victoria which is appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven and comply with any restrictions on their licence (e.g. wearing glasses). A reliable and registered vehicle and current comprehensive car insurance is essential for this position. It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.
