Support Worker - South West Metro Region People Who Care is a not-for-profit organisation with over 44 years of service. We partner to provide support to older people, those with a disability, or people who are facing a social crisis. What's on offer: Opportunity for a suitably experienced Support Worker Based in Baldivis and surrounding areas Part-time role - $31.64 (Level 2) or $32.67 (Level 3) per hour + Salary Packaging options and Superannuation Friendly and supportive team working with a positive workplace culture Hours of work: Week one: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (9am - 1pm or similar) Week two: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (9am - 1pm or similar) Our Home Care services (CHSP, VHC, and HCP) empower older people and veterans to live safely whilst enjoying as much independence as possible within their own homes. You will provide individualised care tailored to the needs of each client and their families. Primary responsibilities: Meal assistance, including shopping and meal preparation Transport and accompaniment, including shopping trips and appointments Social support & activities, including outings and social activities Personal care, including assistance with personal grooming, hygiene, bathing, and dressing Provide support for health conditions, including skin care, medication reminders, and diabetes management Assistance with mobility Domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry What you will need: A kind, caring, and respectful approach to service provision Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support (or similar) or equivalent experience Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently with minimal supervision Ability to work with individuals from a range of social, financial, and cultural backgrounds Strong communication and interpersonal skills Current driver's license and reliable car Current national police check (not older than 6 months) Prior experience in a similar role How to apply: Applications should include a resume and preferably a brief cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
