Work for a global organisation with an international footprint. About the role: Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, you will: Provide Survey Support to the project. Assist with mine planning, drill and blast and scheduling to meet the operational targets. Take into consideration the safety and environmental impacts of surveying activities. Complete and verify project survey volumes and quantity reconciliations as required. Conduct daily, weekly & EOM pickups and volume calculations. Liaise with Engineers in developing daily, weekly, and monthly plans to optimise production levels. Prepare weekly and end of Month reports as requested. Complete on-site RPAS drone surveys/scans/photos/incident reporting. Develop and review survey standards and procedures for the project. Create 3D models of mining sites using design software and digital imaging. Chart surface areas using GPS/ drones/ Laser Scanners. To be successful you will have: Tertiary qualifications in surveying, together with at least five years open cut mining and/or civil construction experience. Understanding of mining principles, design concepts and operations (particularly their relation to survey activities). Technical and analytical skills in relation to survey and mining activities and planning. Strong organisational, communication and planning skills. Demonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour. Team player attitude. RPAS certified. High level of computer literacy is essential. Proficient in relevant survey software including Maptek Vulcan & Point Studio, Deswik or similar. QLD Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme Assessment or willingness to complete along with a Pre-Employment Medical, Standard 11 and Current Australian Drivers Licence.
