Sustainability (ESG) Graduate role Georgiou is a national building construction and civil engineering company, delivering major projects across Australia. As markets move towards a greater focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risks, our projects also change to focus on a high level of rigour and robustness to ESG information collection, measurement, and reporting. This is where you come in.Prequalification requires candidates with tertiary education in sustainability, data analytics or related discipline like, degree in engineering, environmental sciences, economics, social sciences, organisational development, finance, accounting or other ESG-related degree and courses. Experience required from graduation with 0 years' experience up to 3 years in the field.In this role you will be exposed to all aspects of a Construction project from engineering, Environmental requirements and Sustainability inputs and development. This is an exciting opportunity to join and contribute to growing a proactive environmental and sustainability engineering team and culture within Georgiou.What we are seeking: Minimum 0-3 years of relevant Engineering, Environmental and Sustainability aspects in construction experience. Involved in the delivery of an Infrastructure Sustainability Council Design and/or As Built Rating (highly desirable). Tertiary qualifications in sustainability, data analytics or related discipline, degree in engineering, environmental sciences, economics, social sciences, organisational development, finance, accounting or other ESG-related degree and courses. Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (desirable but not a prerequisite). Knowledge & understanding of Commonwealth, State, Acts, Regulations and Australian Standards. Specialist working knowledge in a key sustainability aspect such as energy and emissions, heritage, workforce sustainability, water, sustainable procurement, circular economy (highly desirable). Knowledge of ISO 14001 requirements and licence approval process. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Great attention to detail; adapt in data gathering, data analytics. Strong written and verbal communication skills and be proficient in report writing. A passion for sustainability and ESG issues. A curious and practical mind, seeking to expand their knowledge of sustainability in the construction industry. Good communication skills, able to draft reports, case studies, training materials, and professional correspondence. People who work well within a team and independently. What to expect in this role: Liaise with project teams. Coordinate Sustainability Project Objectives. Develop and update system to accommodate sustainability rating assessment requirements (project based). Conduct sustainability reviews. Consult and communicate environmental and sustainability issues and information with stakeholders. Coordinate & Communicate Sustainability learnings and knowledge. Liaise with sustainability governing bodies (ISC). You will contribute to the sustainable operations of a construction project, assisting in gathering, analysing and compiling data for the Project's ESG requirements. You will be at the forefront in process and systems implementation as well as training and assisting the wider team to meet the Projects ESG requirements. You will be provided training in Infrastructure Sustainability (IS), and have a direct responsibility in managing and monitoring the Project's IS targets. Contribute to the development and implementation sustainability data governance framework on our projects.
