The Role We are in search of a high calibre Sustainability Reporting, Risk and Governance Manager. In this role you will drive our sustainability agenda forward. The role oversees and leads day-to-day reporting production efforts and coordinates resources across the business to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of Toll’s sustainability reporting disclosures. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, project management capabilities, and a deep understanding of sustainability principles in the logistics industry. You will also ensure compliance with sustainability reporting standards and regulations, managing risks associated with sustainability initiatives, and upholding governance practices to maintain the integrity and transparency of reporting processes. This role is expected to work in close collaboration with the Sustainability, Finance, and other Toll Teams. As the Sustainability Reporting, Risk and Governance Manager , you will: Regulatory Reporting: Oversee and ensure compliance with sustainability reporting and regulatory ESG developments, manage audits, and communicate insights. Data Management and Digitisation: Implement and maintain a central sustainability reporting data platform and integrate this data into broader corporate systems. Strategic Reporting: Integrate sustainability data into strategic decision-making, monitor metrics, and compile reports for senior management. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage ESG risks, and develop action plans to address these risks. Governance: Develop and maintain governance frameworks, ensure robust practices, and provide oversight for sustainability activities. Stakeholder Engagement and Capability Building: Engage with stakeholders to communicate sustainability performance, optimise data tracking, and educate employees on sustainability and digital tools. Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline. Extensive relevant experience, preferably in sustainability/ESG data management, audit or reporting in a corporate setting, sustainability consulting or sustainability NGOs. Experience in conducting sustainability assessments, audits, and reporting, with knowledge of relevant standards and certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, ASRS/ISSB, CSRD/CSDDD, NGERS, GRI, CDP). Understanding of ESG reporting standards, experience with sustainability reporting software, digitisation processes, and data management tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple initiatives and adapt to changing priorities. Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, ability to influence stakeholders, lead organisational change, and maintain high personal standards of integrity and professionalism.
