Career Opportunities with Adirondack Health Better Health, Better Lives Careers At Adirondack Health Adirondack Health Medical Fitness Center’s Swim Instructors are a vital component to our team. They are dedicated and have the experience to teach swimming to individuals of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment. All swim instructors will also be lifeguard certified and preferably obtain their water safety instructor (WSI) certification. At times this position may be asked to also lifeguard as needed. The purpose of the Lifeguard is to provide safety to the members and guests in the pools and surrounding areas. The position will maintain a positive and professional demeanor during interactions and work-related relationships with all persons at the center including but not limited to members, guests, and team members. Swim instructors and Lifeguards must be fully competent in performing water rescue procedures and coordinate to ensure the safety of patrons in and around the pools while monitoring swimmers and enforcing all safety and facility rules. Educational Requirements/ Qualifications/Experience: Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Lifeguard certified. CPR/BLS for the professional rescuer certified. #J-18808-Ljbffr
