Work type: Fixed Term Full-time position or 0.8 EFT (Optional 0.2 EFT Clinical load for Family Therapy qualified candidates) Fixed Term 3 years with a view to extend $112,200 to $128,304 (pro rata for part time) plus 17% Superannuation Located at the Bouverie Centre (Brunswick) with free on-site parking About the position The Bouverie Centre is a Practice-Research-Translation Centre within the School of Psychology and Public Health at La Trobe University. We are a Statewide Specialist Mental Health Service within Victoria’s public mental health system, providing family therapy services to families in times of adversity. The Systemic Practice Consultant- Clinical Supervision position will function within our Practice and Service Development (PSD) program and will engage in cross-program projects as a team member or functional leader. The key characteristic of the Systemic Practice Consultant-Clinical Supervision role involves fostering the integration of family-based and systemic practices within mental health, allied health, and broader human services by facilitating clinical supervision training and other supervision-related training and programs for practitioners, including direct supervision and consultations for individuals, groups, and organisations. Operationally, the role will involve actively designing, coordinating, and delivering workforce development and implementation projects, with a central task of evaluating and researching contemporary approaches and developing innovative training materials, including online learning. The Systemic Practice Consultant-Clinical Supervision role will also be required to develop proposals to advise senior staff on objectives, organisational structures, and budget expenditures relating to the PSD program and projects. Practical negotiation skills are essential for working with multiple stakeholders, accommodating diverse interests, and finding solutions to complex issues. Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, you will have: An undergraduate degree in social work, nursing, occupational therapy or psychology with at least 5 years subsequent experience; or extensive other relevant experience. Highly developed skills and experience in providing individual and group clinical supervision and its application in the mental health, alcohol and other drugs or related fields. Skills and experience in providing training, consultation, supervision and support within an implementation framework to health and other human service practitioners and managers. Significant practice experience in the health and human services, preferably in the mental health or alcohol and other drugs fields. Demonstrated ability to contribute to project teams as a team member or functional leader, including preparation of project reports, evaluation reports and other relevant documentation.
