Job Description

Senior Site Reliability Officer – Exciting Opportunity in a High-Security Environment! Are you an experienced Site Reliability Officer looking to take on a senior role in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment? We are seeking a skilled professional to work closely with development teams, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of essential services through automation and self-service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical expertise in software development, system integration, and cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain software using languages such as Python and Java. Lead the creation of high-quality software that enhances User Experience. Implement and improve software engineering processes and best practices. Identify system dependencies and collaborate with stakeholders for integrated solutions. Essential Criteria: Strong experience with Kubernetes, GitLab CI, Kafka, Linux, Java, and Python. Proven ability to engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary teams, including mentoring junior staff. Experience in designing technical solutions that align with mission requirements. Location: Canberra. Contract Duration: 12 months with 2 x 12-month extension options. Experience level: Senior - EL1 equivalent Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates are required to have a TSPV clearance to perform this role. This position is open to Australian citizens with a valid security clearance due to role requirements.
