About the role Driving end-to-end recruitment, coaching hiring teams & creating exceptional candidate experience, our team have a wider scope than most recruiters to develop a strong, capable & culturally aligned workforce. From creating position descriptions, classification/benchmarking, applying award or agreements, developing selection & training resources, contract preparation, to data management and reporting, our team have a strong focus in 2025 on identifying and implementing improvements and efficiencies. With accountability for key portfolios and flexibility as a team player to dive in as needed, the role ensures our hiring teams are well supported from volume frontline roles to senior management positions, and coached to develop their people, talent and hiring capabilities. About you This is not your typical recruitment role, and definitely not for someone who likes ticking boxes and doing things as they have always been done. It’s a must you have a desire to not only be part of change but to proactively create it. You’ll be the person who puts their hand up, taking ownership to problem solve, engage others and implement those brilliant ideas of yours. You’ll need a good foundation in recruiting, and while ideally you come from an in-house role in a similar sector it’s not a deal breaker. We also know agency recruiters have great skills, and we are happy to coach the in-house perspective and wider role scope to the right person. You’ll hate boredom, love being busy, take pride in your work and importantly, no matter where you are in your career you’ll understand that getting hiring right is the engine room, and heart, of an organisation. Key things you’ll bring include: Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline are preferred Experience in volume hiring and candidate management The mindset to develop diverse sourcing rather than wait to see who applies A strong ability to coach, influence and positively challenge others when needed in the name of innovation and improvements Strong administrative and technical skills, accuracy, and ability to apply industrial instruments is ideal Great listening and communication abilities, focus on building relations with hiring groups and your own team, authenticity and genuine desire to collaborate to achieve goals Being a problem solver, proactive and keen to drive/support change Driver's licence National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months) About the benefits People always ask what the best thing about Mercy Care is, and while it may sound cliché, my answer is always the people.
