About the opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced (tax) accountant with a passion for training and development to create and implement structured learning programmes for new and experienced team members. Join us as Training Manager at our Belmont Office, WA where you will put your communication and people skills to work servicing a variety of internal stakeholders. This position is ideal for a proactive and process-driven individual who enjoys working as part of a team and collaborating with managers and directors to deliver quality. Your role will focus on ensuring staff quickly become effective and efficient, gaining hands-on experience with Byfields’ systems and processes. In this position, you will have the opportunity to: Shape and enhance the firm’s training processes Work in a supportive, flexible, and professional team culture Develop structured training programmes for various experience levels Balance autonomy and collaboration with managers and directors Train graduate and intermediate accountants on Xero Tax, MYOB, and Agrimaster Guide staff through financial statement preparation, ITRs, and ATO portal usage Establish a seamless handover process to accountants, leaders, and teams Deliver and coordinate firmwide technical training initiatives Have a key role in developing Byfields’ future accountants Provide structured feedback to Directors and Managers This newly created role gives you the chance to build something impactful and make it your own. About you You are an experienced accountant, passionate about coaching and developing others. Your supportive approach resonates with young graduates and accountants, and you easily adjust your communication and training style to meet the needs of more senior audiences. You can see yourself as a technical accounting and systems trainer, someone who enjoys building skills and driving success. With a structured yet adaptable training approach, you ensure staff at all levels are supported, mentored, and developed according to measurable key outcomes. You have public practice experience and are CPA/CA qualified or near completion. Your ability to communicate effectively, provide constructive feedback, and optimise systems makes you an asset to the team. You have extensive Australian tax experience across diverse industries, with connections or experience in the agricultural sector being highly beneficial.
