Job Description
The Role: Cooper Grace Ward is excited to be extending an opportunity for a Tax Lawyer to join our leading Commercial and Private Client workgroup. As a valued team member, you will have the opportunity to assist clients with a broad range of tax and revenue matters by providing practical advice and managing disputes with the Australian Tax Office and Queensland Revenue Office. The variety of work you will do includes: Advising on a range of tax and revenue matters, including structuring and restructuring entities Objecting to ATO and QRO assessments for tax and penalties Assisting clients with responding to ATO reviews and audits Preparing direct and indirect tax sharing agreements, employee share schemes, facility agreements, and agreements with service entities Managing appeals of ATO and QRO decisions in the AAT, QCAT, Federal and Supreme Court Assisting in commercial aspects of implementing advice Requirements: Previous experience and a genuine interest in tax law Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills A keen eye for detail and the ability to consistently produce accurate, high-quality work Dedication to excellence and the delivery of outstanding client service Desire to strengthen and build client relationships to continually contribute to the growth and success of the firm Ability to work autonomously and assist with providing guidance to junior team members About Cooper Grace Ward: Cooper Grace Ward is a leading independent law firm based in Brisbane.
