u&u are partnered with a world-renowned industrial business who are looking to hire an experienced Manager to take overall ownership of the group’s local tax compliance function, whilst also assisting the Head of Tax with complex tax planning and deal related projects.As Manager, you will: Lead a Sydney-based team of compliance-focused experts; Manage the group’s consolidated tax returns and schedules, including R&D tax credits, dividend and interest, CGT, IDS, RTP and consolidated group losses; Review of income tax, GST, FBT returns, as well as monthly/quarterly BAS, IAS and fuel tax credits; Management of local Transfer Pricing documentation; Work closely with the Head of Tax on tax aspects of Mergers, Acquisitions and Disposals; Business Partner with stakeholders across the group, and partner with external stakeholders including the ATO and external advisors. What you’ll bring: CA or CPA qualified and a degree holder in Accounting & Finance or a related field; 6+ years’ Australian tax experience, with at least several of those years in the commercial environment; Excellent communication skills, and experienced in managing multiple external stakeholders; Technologically literate, and comfortable adapting to new ERP systems and tax technology software.
