Teacher - Automotive and Marine Trimming (Specialising in Restoration) Job posted: 28/01/2025 Job type: Ongoing - full time or part time Closes: 25/02/2025 Salary Range: $78,564 - $111,391 THE OPPORTUNITY Salary: $78,564 – $111,391 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).Time Fraction: Part Time, 0.4 EFT.Location: Chadstone campus.WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.Position Status: Ongoing contract of appointment with a 6-month qualifying period. The Department of Design and Finishing Trades fosters a progressive, supportive teaching environment with strong ties to the industry. We are seeking a passionate and skilled educator to teach the Certificate III in Automotive and Marine Trimming Technology, with a particular emphasis on restoration projects for both interior and exterior applications. You will also contribute to the Certificate III in Upholstery. As a teacher, you will: Deliver high-quality education and practical training, sharing your real-world expertise. Develop engaging course materials and innovative assessment tools tailored to marine and restoration-focused learning. Support diverse student needs with flexible teaching strategies. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental operations and ensure continuous improvement. Promote a safe, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment. Stay current with industry trends through professional development. Help prepare students for rewarding careers in marine and automotive restoration (interior and exterior). ABOUT YOU Expertise: Proven experience in restoration and trimming for motor vehicles and marine vessels. Familiarity with contemporary techniques and tools in both interior and exterior restoration. Teaching Skills: Innovative and adaptable teaching methods, incorporating ICT to enhance learning. Understanding of adult learning principles and VET sector practices. Preferred Skills: Experience with computer-aided production drawings (CAD). Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork abilities. Capacity to design and deliver inclusive content that supports independent learning. Qualifications: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122 (or equivalent). Relevant certifications or licences. A Certificate III in Automotive and Marine Trimming Technology is desirable.
