We offer a range of benefits including: Access to personalised training and development programs Conveniently located in the heart of Docklands - just 400 metres from Southern Cross station and with a tram stop right at our doorstep State of the art facilities in a contemporary building with modern amenities, including a wellness room, multi-faith space, premium coffee machines, EAP, lockers and spacious office areas Paid parental leave, Volunteer leave, Religious leave and more About the role We are seeking part-time Mathematics teachers to commence at the beginning of the new intake in February 2025 to teach the following units: MUF1031 Foundations for Calculus , VCE Year 11 Mathematical Methods equivalent and MUF1041 Mathematics in Context , VCE Year 11 General Mathematics equivalent MUF0091 Mathematics Unit 1, Functions and Calculus - VCE Year 12 Mathematical Methods 1 equivalent The Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) fraction may change for each semester. For the upcoming semester, we are seeking teachers who can teach 0.5FTE – 0.8FTE. In this role, you will engage with a diverse cohort of students and work closely with colleagues to drive learning outcomes by delivering course content and preparing students for assessments in a manner that fosters independent learning skills. You will also monitor student progress, creating an optimal learning culture and environment. Key Responsibilities Bring your subject knowledge to life by applying specialised teaching strategies and pedagogical approaches to engage diverse learners. Make learning meaningful through planned and adapted content to connect course material with real-world contexts and align with student needs. Inspire active participation through scaffolded lessons that encourage student confidence, promote engagement, and provide clear, actionable instructions. Create an inclusive learning space that is a safe, supportive, and culturally responsive environment where students thrive. Drive success with constructive feedback that empowers students to succeed, while ensuring assessments align with learning outcomes. Adjust your teaching approach based on students’ language proficiency, and employ effective questioning to guide their progress. Embrace technology through the utilisation of AI and other educational technologies to enhance teaching and guide students in responsible online use. Continuously plan for professional development, seek feedback, and reflect on your teaching practices to drive ongoing improvement. About you You are an experienced and qualified Mathematics teacher seeking a new challenge in a dynamic and student-focused environment. You will have: Experience teaching high school Mathematics, e.g. VCE Mathematical Methods and/or General Mathematics. Experience in identifying, monitoring and providing positive intervention for students at risk of not meeting requirements and extending high achievers. Ability in a multicultural educational environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues to create an optimal student experience. Experience delivering to students from non-English speaking backgrounds. Bachelor degree in the relevant academic subject area. Bachelor of Education, Diploma of Education, Diploma of Education Studies or a 2-year Teaching Certificate; or At least two years of senior secondary, vocational education and training college, or higher education teaching experience, including breadth of experience in delivering to students from non-English speaking backgrounds.
