Position Details Religious Education Teacher We are seeking a dedicated and highly engaging Religious Education Teacher to join our College. This is a full-time, temporary position, commencing Term 2 – until the end of Term 4, 2025.Reporting to the Head of Religious Education, you will be a dynamic and committed Religious Education Teacher. You will have the unique ability to deliver Religious Education curriculum in a manner that is engaging and meaningful.Your responsibilities as a Religious Education Teacher include: The ability to teach Religious Education to Year 7 – Year 10 students. The ability to teach Religion and Life General 11 and 12 students. The ability to be innovative in current teaching methodologies, keeping up to date with current pedagogical trends in Religious Education. The ability to work collaboratively to build rapport with students, parents and all College employees to develop respectful, inclusive and positive working relationships. Selection Criteria A dedicated and inspiring Religious Education Teacher. A sound understanding of Religious Education curriculum and the ability to incorporate, assess and report on it in all programs. Experience in writing and delivering differentiated programs in Religious Education. The willingness and adaptability to apply new technologies and innovations to enhance student learning. The willingness to teach as part of a Religious Education team that goes above and beyond for each other and the students. This may involve assisting with extra-curricular activities, clubs, competitions or lunch time catch up sessions. Flexibility and adaptability to respond to a fast-paced working environment. An awareness and appreciation for the Catholic ethos of the College. Early career teachers are encouraged to apply. Ongoing training and mentoring will be offered to the successful candidate. Qualifications Required Undergraduate degree in a specific discipline with a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) or Bachelor of Education. Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.
