Job Description The Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our Humanities department in our secondary years. As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education to our students, fostering their academic growth and personal development. If you're dedicated to inspiring students, we encourage you to apply. This is a part-time maximum term (Term 3, 0.8 FTE) appointment to provide leave cover within our school, Peninsula Grammar. Candidates with VCE Geography teaching experience are encouraged to apply. Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in line with the curriculum for secondary Humanities subjects Assess and provide constructive feedback on student performance, maintaining accurate records of their progress Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and intellectual curiosity Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary teaching approaches and contribute to the overall improvement of the Humanities department Provide pastoral support to students, addressing any concerns or challenges they may encounter during their academic journey Provide support for Year 12 SACs Desired Skills and Experience About you Qualified teacher status in Humanities or relevant subject Proven experience teaching Humanities at the secondary level, with VCE teaching experience preferred Proven ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans Strong knowledge of curriculum standards and assessment methods within Humanities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Passion for fostering a positive learning environment and promoting student success Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of educational best practices All positions at Peninsula Grammar require: Current VIT First-Aid and CPR qualifications including accredited Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training Child Safety training (provided by the school upon commencement) How to Apply Further information about Peninsula Grammar can be found at .
