The Role We have an exciting temporary part-time (0.5) position available, until 31 December 2025 to join our Educational Delivery team in the Western Queensland Construction Team at TAFE Queensland’s Roma Campus. This position reports to the Western Queensland Manager. The salary range for a TAFE Teacher is $44,899 - $59,264 (gross) per annum , depending on educational qualifications held and teaching experience. Mandatory Requirements Applicants must possess CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent, and the following: current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided; current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided; evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment; working with children check QLD (Blue Card) or the ability to obtain; and current Queensland driver’s license. Additionally, to become a TAFE Teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials: TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills (or TAELLN401A) and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools (or TAESS502A or TAEASS502B); or TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or TAE50211 Diploma of Training Design and Development; or TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development or its successor; or A higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
