Teaching Opportunities for New Zealand Based Teachers Salary: Teacher (School Education Act General Agreement) Work Type: Permanent - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Fixed Term - Full Time Teacher, $85,610 - $124,046 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023) Western Australia is a great place to live and teach. Come and join us. The Department of Education is seeking applications from teachers currently living in New Zealand, who want to relocate to Western Australia. Teaching in Western Australian public schools comes with great benefits. You can expect: a great salary – and we will consider your teaching experience in New Zealand when determining your commencement salary fully funded relocation support for you and your family (for permanent positions or contracts 12 months or more). This includes airfares and travel, and relocating your furniture and effects fully funded accommodation support for up to 8 weeks - depending on the location of your appointment access to heavily subsidised accommodation for you and your family, in most regional locations support for your spouse or partner, to help them transition into employment in your new regional location additional financial incentives in some locations (up to $13,730 pa) if relocating to Western Australia, reimbursement of essential household items, of up to $10,000 (subject to approval) a number of our schools are eligible to receive an Attraction and Retention Incentive in 2025, of up to $8,500pa. a robust induction program. Who we are looking for We are currently recruiting teachers to schools across Western Australia. These range from the wine regions in the Southwest to our Goldfields, up to the top of our great state in the Kimberley. To teach in a Western Australian public school, you must have a recognised, completed initial teacher education qualification. This may be a completed Bachelor of Education, or equivalent; or an undergraduate degree and a post-graduate teaching qualification. To work as an education support teacher, you must hold a qualification specific to this occupation or have completed a minimum of two special education related modules as part of your teaching qualification.
