The Role Reporting directly into the Head of Credit, you'll leverage your strong people management skills to inspire and lead a high-performing Credit team. You will play a key role in aligning individual goals with broader organisational objectives, ensuring your team thrives while achieving collective success. Your strong interpersonal skills will be crucial in negotiating and handling challenging conversations with both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you’ll use your analytical ability to work with data, delivering actionable insights to management to continuously improve both personal and team performance. Key Responsibilities Deal Management: Oversee team deal flow, optimise allocations, and identify conversion challenges to improve team performance. Drive continuous improvements, monitor progress, and provide updates to stakeholders. Customer Escalations: Manage complex escalations, including AFCA complaints, high-risk cases, and responsible lending flags. Provide guidance on tough customer interactions and ensure timely resolution. AI (Assessment Insights) & Pricing: Implement and refine AI rules, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and BizOps teams to address conversion issues and optimise processes. Lender Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders and key industry players. Manage lender relationships, collaborate on solutions, and stay informed on policy changes. Team Leadership: Manage a team of 6-10 credit agents, providing regular feedback, performance reviews, and development support. Motivate the team to meet targets and ensure compliance with credit processes. Process Improvement: Identify and address gaps in current processes, workflows, and agent performance. Lead initiatives to improve conversion rates, quality, and operational efficiency. Training & Development: Conduct training sessions and audits to enhance team skills, ensure adherence to compliance, and drive continuous development in credit assessments and process improvement. Skills and Experience 5+ years experience within financial services 3+ years experience in a leadership position Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Economics or Finance Advanced experience in a CRM (Salesforce preferred but would consider other software experience) Advanced experience with G-Suite Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to manipulate & interpret data History of driving a high performance team and being accountable for individual and team-level KPIs History of implementing & monitoring key initiatives High attention to detail Excellent communication, relationship building and negotiation skills Passion for the industry and a strong desire to help customers Preferred Certificate IV Finance & Mortgage Broking Experience in Fintech Experience using SQL and/or DOMO Why Join Driva?
