Your hands-on leadership and technical skills will be essential in cultivating a customer-focused culture while adhering to established work processes and standard operating procedures. You'll manage both planned and unplanned maintenance schedules, ensuring all tasks are executed safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and management of the Arboriculture team, overseeing the care and maintenance of Council's urban forest Demonstrate positive leadership capabilities by building relationships which result in a work team driven to embrace challenges and deliver outcomes Provide hands-on leadership and technical expertise to ensure cost-effective and efficient service delivery Foster a customer-centric culture within the team, prioritising excellence and responsiveness Oversee both planned and emergency maintenance activities, ensuring high safety and service standards Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Manage and allocate resources, budgets, and workforce planning for operational efficiency Champion WHS compliance, ensuring a proactive and safe work environment Engage with stakeholders to enhance community satisfaction and environmental sustainability Skills and Experience: Relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience in arboriculture, horticulture, or a related field Proven leadership experience in supervising teams and managing projects Strong understanding of tree maintenance, risk assessment, and urban forest management Experience in workforce management, budgeting, and resource allocation Proficiency in Microsoft Office, 365, and enterprise management software A commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement Desirable Qualifications & Skills: Qualifications in Leadership or Management Experience in local government depot operations Certifications in Work Zone Traffic Management (WZTM), Senior First Aid, and relevant driver's licences (LR, MR, HR) APPLY NOW To register your interest, please forward your current resume and cover letter via the application link.
