We currently operate customised core system business applications to support our business and we are looking for a Team Leader Core Systems to lead our ICT Systems Analyst Team! About the role The Team Leader Core Systems will lead a driven team of System Support Analysts to make sure our custom built and industry based core systems are functioning as we need them to and supporting our business needs. The role oversees the end to end system change processes to facilitate the required change as well as the day to day support of core systems. This role steers away from Microsoft PC or server engineering, and is instead a lead analyst role working with internal stakeholders and external developers to deliver the required custom changes or to resolve support issues. Key responsibilities: Working side by side with the team of System Support Analysts to make sure the custom systems are operational and able to be used by staff to effectively support servicing our members. Working with internal stakeholders to facilitate custom application changes that support our strategy and regulatory needs. Effectively managing and leading the System Support Analyst team, providing direction on priorities and goals and offering advice on effective ways of working. Involvement in all stages of the systems development lifecycle, including the preparation of systems change requests, design approvals, unit testing and implementation. Making sure the team is compliant with the required procedures across the full systems development lifecycle and role-modelling this as their leader. Championing and providing support and assistance in system related change processes with stakeholders across the business. Coordinating and working with external suppliers as required. Reviewing and suggesting improvements for policies and procedures relating to core systems support and development. Participating in and supporting strategic or regulatory projects as required in delivering core system changes. About you This role is well suited to someone with experience in a Senior Systems Analyst or business support like role with team leadership experience, who can analyse and evaluate systems, and provide high-level perspective to drive impactful solutions. Strong Health Insurance or Health Services industry knowledge is a bonus! To be successful in the role you will have: Experience in business or systems analysis and stakeholder engagement in a custom-built systems environment. Experience working in a corporate application support and/or development environment. Ability to learn and understand custom built applications with complexities. Experience in the Health Insurance or Health Services Industry (desirable). A people person and a natural team leader with collaboration and rapport building skills. The ability to think outside of the box and execute excellent problem-solving skills. Strong relationship management and stakeholder management skills. Experience and exposure to a diverse range of technologies, including a basic level of proficiency the Microsoft Office product suite. The ability to prioritise and work to meet tight deadlines.
