Our facility offers a multi-purpose events centre, which can seat up to 1000 guests, multiple food & beverage outlets, 24/7 fitness centre, kids club, gaming facilities plus a 120 room Mantra at Sharks hotel. ABOUT THE ROLE We are currently accepting application for an experienced Team Leader for our Events Centre, who has a bright, outgoing personality and exceptional customer service skills. This person will assist in guiding, training, supervising and leading the team on the floor amongst the action. NOTE: this position will predominantly be night work. Key responsibilities include: Conduct daily pre-shift briefings to employees on preparation, service & menu Assign responsibilities and tasks to frontline staff and monitor their performance Adapt quickly with autonomy due to any last-minute changes Communicate effectively and coordinate between chefs, wait staff, beverage staff, clients and other support staff Ability to train and develop staff members skills in F&B and customer service Delivering a high standard of service to members and guests Providing bar and/or table service to guests of the Events Centre Arranging furniture as required Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the Events Centre Working with a team who have a strong Workplace, Health and Safety focus ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: Minimum 2 years experience working in banquets/events Current Qld RSA Experience in high standard customer service Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team A keen eye for detail A friendly and positive attitude Fast and efficient, as well as confident and reliable Enjoy working in a team Self-motivated and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision Flexibility to work fluctuating hours in accordance with operational requirements Simply complete the application process by clicking the "Apply Now" button and we’ll be in touch.
