About the role As the Team Leader, National Operations , you will be responsible for leading the National Operations team to support the coordination of planning and delivery of national operations across a growing footprint of NHVR jurisdictions to ensure a nationally consistent, effective, and coordinated regulatory response to identified risks within the heavy vehicle industry. Reporting to the Manager, Analysis Intelligence and Risk, you will coordinate the development and implementation of national operations including proactive and reactive regulatory plans, activities, and evaluations including accompanying documentation to successfully deliver effective and efficient national operations. Key responsibilities of this role are (but not limited to): Lead and manage a team of operational staff and intelligence analysts in a risk-based/intelligence-led operational environment to effectively deliver the operations calendar, nationally. Lead the identification of strategic and emerging trends and patterns of non-compliance that pose a threat or opportunity to the achievement of the NHVR’s strategic objectives. Develop and maintain professional networks across jurisdictions, police, and other stakeholders to build and maintain relationships to support heavy vehicle regulatory activities. Coordinate the joint execution of on/off road regulatory operations by jurisdictions, Police, agencies, and the NHVR to ensure operational delivery in a timely manner within a dynamic regulatory environment. Coordinate the development and delivery of a range of documents on complex regulatory options including strategic deployment, detailed evaluation reports, briefings (both written and verbal), procedural documentation, and correspondence. Undertake Lessons Learnt activities to support the identification of regulatory improvement across diverse workforces in a continuous improvement framework. About You To be successful in this role you will possess: High-level research, analysis, and problem-solving skills evidenced by the ability to frame complex issues clearly and precisely including the preparation of operational evaluations, policy documentation, briefings, procedures, and guidelines. Formal qualifications in the field of Intelligence, Operational Planning, Project Management, or similar. Demonstrated ability to lead a team of people to provide consistent, responsive, and high-quality operational delivery in a changing environment. Demonstrated ability to develop a strategic work program, manage competing priorities, and meet critical deadlines. 3 to 5 years of management or supervisory experience. Experience in operational planning, deployment coordination, and/or post-analysis reporting. Why join us?
