Full-time and continuing position Can be based at either the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas or the Cairns Nguma-bada campus, Smithfield (on-site) HEWL 7: $94,374 - $104,359 per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits. ABOUT THE ROLE As the Team Leader, Student Success, you will play a key role in helping students achieve their educational goals. By managing a team of Student Success Officers, your leadership will directly influence student retention, success, and wellbeing, particularly for priority groups. You will drive these outcomes through the delivery of University-wide initiatives and collaborate with a range of university stakeholders to identify and address student needs. Your leadership will foster a high-performance culture focused on student engagement, continuous improvement, and teamwork. Leveraging data analysis and sector trends, you'll lead initiatives that keep our University at the forefront of student success. Additionally, building strong relationships with stakeholders will support a whole of institution approach to student retention and success. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE We are seeking candidates with qualifications in a related field, proven management skills, and the ability to successfully lead a team to deliver high-quality performance outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and build strong working relationships. Demonstrated experience in facilitating programs that achieve successful outcomes for students from specific demographic groups will be key to success. In addition, proven knowledge of funding, policy, and legislative frameworks related to student support programs, along with strong stakeholder management skills is essential. You’ll also need a solid understanding of student engagement strategies, data analysis capabilities, and familiarity with government reporting requirements.
