A transitioning economy is leading to an influx of new residents, businesses, and employment opportunities that is seeing Maribyrnong fast becoming a sought after residential, recreation and social destination in Melbourne's inner-west. The Opportunity Following a review of its Youth Services and Partnerships Unit, an opportunity has arisen for a dynamic leader to join the team to lead and manage the Phoenix Youth Hub, strategic partnerships and resourcing. This exciting opportunity will see you build strategic relationships internally and externally, innovate and collaborate to activate the Phoenix Youth Hub to ensure young people have access to services they need, and lead advocacy with young people for young people around the local needs of young people. Key Responsibilities Lead and inspire a dedicated team within the Phoenix Youth Hub, fostering a positive and supportive environment that empowers team members to deliver exceptional services to young people. Lead and develop strong partnerships with specialist agencies, community based agencies, schools and others as required to maximise the activation of the Phoenix Youth Hub through tenancy and hirer agreements. To lead and develop an advocacy framework aimed at meeting the changing needs of young people living within the City of Maribyrnong. About You To be considered for this role, you will have the following: Tertiary qualification in Youth Services, Human Services or a relevant degree that fosters community services and partnerships. Strong experience in the development of policies, procedures and frameworks that foster and support the management of a community facility. Strong leadership experience within a community services environment. Experience in the strategic and operational management of a community facility. Experience in the understanding, development and implementation of policies, procedures, advocacy and systems within a community services context. Current Victorian Drivers Licence. Current Working with Children Check. No relevant criminal record found in a Police Check. Why Choose Maribyrnong?
