Add expected salary to your profile for insights The Road Construction & Maintenance Branch is where key road and drainage services are delivered directly to the Logan City community. The branch is focused on delivering excellent customer service in a timely manner and to a high quality. Our branch is made up of 2 programs ‘Road Maintenance’ and ‘Road Construction’. About the role We require experienced and competent Team Leaders who are solution focused and proactive people leaders, with demonstrated experience in large road construction maintenance projects, knowledge of various technology applications and thorough understanding of health & safety policies. We are seeking general civil construction labour Team Leaders with extensive Road Construction and Maintenance experience. There are currently 3 vacancies in our Programs. You will be responsible for organising and allocating tasks within the team to ensure work allocated is completed within agreed timeframes and budget. Skills & Qualifications Leadership & coordination skills, with the ability to stimulate a high level of performance & foster teamwork. Experience in a wide range of labouring activities relating to Civil Construction is highly desirable. Thorough understanding of Health and Safety risks and hazards monitoring practices. Minimum possession of MR Class up to HR (or higher class) when driving vehicles >4.5T GVM with three or more axles is highly advantageous. Demonstrated experience and a VOC with the operation of different plant (eg. roller, bobcat, backhoe, graders, excavators etc). Possession of Certificate III in Civil Construction will be advantageous. Possession of a General Safety Induction Card (Construction Industry) White Card. Applicants must undergo a pre-employment functional assessment and be assessed as being able to meet the functional requirements of the position. Why choose Logan City Council?
